Mahlab Ground

This aromatic spice comes from the seed of a species of cherry. With a hint of vanilla and some floral elements, it lends a distinctive flavor to bread and certain desserts and is commonly used in Middle Eastern Easter. It loves anything with dairy, so use it in buttery and cheesy pastries.
